We are looking for a Project Manager who will be responsible for the overall delivery of multiple fintech projects on web, mobile, and backend platforms. This includes working with business owners to transform business objectives/goals into actionable technical business delivery plans, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring that all work is delivered on-time and compliant with company and regulatory policies.
Responsibilities
- Handle fintech projects from kick-off to launch, managing everything across web, mobile, and backend.
- Convert business goals into clear technical plans and make sure everyone in the team is on the same page.
- Lead cross-functional teams , including engineers, QA, DevOps, UI/UX, working in Agile or Waterfall, and keep things on track to reach deadlines.
- Build out detailed project plans, juggle resources, manage budgets, and stay on top of timelines.
- Keep clients in the loop with updates and demos, getting their feedback as projects move forward.
- Track the numbers including, budget, scope, delivery speed, customer happiness, and bug rates.
- Stay sharp on fintech regulations, KYC/AML, GDPR, PCI-DSS, so projects are always compliant and ready for audits.
- Handle User Acceptance Testing, tackle bugs, and oversee production launches. Spot risks before they become problems, figure out how to fix them, and keep projects moving.
- Coordinate with outside vendors, payment partners, and regulatory advisors when needed.
- Support integrations with third-party APIs, payment gateways, and banking systems, keeping everything connected.
- Manage change requests with a steady hand, making sure they don’t throw off the timeline.
- Run retrospectives after delivery, actually follow up on what’s learned, and push for better ways to work next time.
- Train and support junior team members, help them grow, and step in when they need guidance.
- Pitch in on building out best practices, templates, and process improvements, anything that helps the team move faster and smarter.
Qualifications & Skills
- A bachelor’s qualification in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related technical discipline.
- Preferred MBA qualification in IT, operations, finance or project management.
- 5-8 years of relative experience including at least 2 years in fintech or financial services.
- Strong knowledge of fintech platforms; Digital payments, wallets, neo-banking, lending systems, or compliance systems.
- Experience managing regulatory and compliance aspects of fintech operations (e.g., RBI, PCI-DSS, GDPR, KYC/AML).
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Trello or Asana.
- Excellent leader, planner, and communicator; ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and influence/diplomatically resolve conflicts.
- Knowledge of Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and traditional methodologies (Waterfall).
- Relevant certification (e.g., PMP, CSM, PMI-ACP, Prince2) is an advantage.
