Senior Backend Engineer

We are looking for a talented Senior Backend Engineer who has deep understanding of NodeJS. You’ll help imagine and build blockchain projects with the team, handling everything server-side with Node.js. The candidates will dedicate most of their into writing server logic, managing the main database, and making sure everything runs fast and smooth when the front end calls. You will also hook up your teammates’ front-end work to the app, so you’ll need at least a basic grasp of front-end tech, too.

Key Responsibilities

• ‍‌‍‍‌‍‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌Integration of user-facing features created by front-end developers with your server-side logic.
• Upgrading present features with the help of the necessary tools and processes.
• Development of reusable, testable, and efficient code.
• Manage the design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant systems
• Designing internal system architecture and data structures.
• Implementing security measures and data protection
• Incorporation of stored data technologies in the computing system.
• Collaborate with the product team to identify, define and evaluate product requirements.
• Supporting the current features and also developing new ones with the team.
• Maintaining project codebase of high quality, always tested, secure, and up to date.
• Detect upcoming issues and resolve them in advance.
• Modify existing software to run faster and take on more users without breaking down.
• The use of backend operations to control user behavior automatically. Database.
• The person responsible for the flow of data between the server and the users.
• Possess the problem-solving skills to produce quick solutions by working alone with new technologies.
• Following the documentation for app changes and future updates.
• Join the reviewing process by offering your comments and suggestions, working cooperatively with cross-functional teams to reach objectives.
• Knowledge of and experience with agile methodologies.
• Be a valuable member of the team by engaging in various collaboration activities and code review with ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌peers.

Qualifications & Skills

• ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌Knowledge of and experience with major Node.js frameworks like Express.js.
• A minimum of 4 years coding experience in Node JS and 5+ years as a Backend Developer.
• Have a hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, and MongoDB.
• Have basic knowledge of blockchain technology.
• Have experience and knowledge in performance tuning, debugging, and monitoring
• Can design scalable and highly available Restful APIs in NodeJS.
• Know handling of CI/CD principles and debugging in a distributed services environment.
• Can work well with container technologies, e.g., Docker and Kubernetes
• Skilled in integrating with third-party APIs such as Twilio, SendGrid, Google.
• Skilled in handling authentication techniques such as single-sign-on or token-based authentication.
• Basic knowledge of task/message queues (AWS, Microsoft Azure, RabbitMQ, Pushpin, or Kafka).
• Has the experience to relate with the Fintech/Banking industry and especially with the Crypto based platforms.
• Experience in the identification and optimization of server-side application and database query performance bottlenecks.
• Familiarity with designing, implementing and the concepts of interservice communication and microservices.
• Experience building real-time updates and communication using WebSocket.
• Previous experience with encryption and security protocols.
• Experience in writing unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks (Mocha, Chai, or Jest).
• Problem solving skills.
• Strong communication skills to be able to work with other team members, stakeholders, and possibly ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌regulators.
