JavaScript (JS)

JavaScript (JS) is a programming language primarily used for developing web applications. In the early days of the internet, web pages were static and non-interactive. Recognizing this limitation, the founder of the Mozilla Foundation dedicated efforts to create a programming language that would enable the development of interactive web pages by manipulating the logical structure of the content. This structure is known as the Document Object Model (DOM).

JavaScript was inspired by two programming languages: Java and Scheme, which is a minimalist dialect of Lisp. It successfully combined the best features of both languages while maintaining an intuitive syntax and offering practical libraries and toolsets.
