Data Encryption

Data encryption is a security procedure in which readable data is converted into unreadable data. The converted data can be in the form of a code, cipher, or any other format that can only be read by users having access to encryption keys or passwords. The data is changed into a scrambled format that keeps the data from getting stolen, which may lead to significant losses.

There are two primary types of encryption processes generally used: Asymmetric encryption and symmetric encryption. Asymmetric encryption is considered more secure but is highly expensive and best fit for small packets of data, whereas symmetric encryption is suitable for large packets of data.
